Volunteering with the North Norfolk Workout Group can help you become both physically and mentally healthier. Outdoor exercise can increase your fitness and energy levels, reduce anxiety and depression, and raise your confidence levels.
By joining us on a task afternoon, you can meet new people, learn new skills, and have fun while helping the local environment. No experience is necessary, and you do not have to be fit to join! We welcome people with a variety of physical and mental health conditions, and/or limited mobility.
It’s completely free to join and open to anyone over the age of 18. We usually work from 12.30pm – 3.30pm, you don’t have to book in advance and in most cases you can just turn up on site, but on your first time out it is a good idea to let us know beforehand that you intend to come so we know to look out for you. You can always expect a warm welcome!
You don’t need to bring tools, we provide them all as well as any necessary PPE. All you need are suitable outdoors clothes (for all weathers!) and some sturdy footwear. Also please make sure your tetanus inoculation is us to date.
Below is a link to download a new volunteer form and it would be very helpful to us if you would complete it and bring it out on your first task.
If you have any more questions then head over to the Contact Us page where you can send a message – or alternatively, phone us on 07943 703919.
